WebYep Prerequisites
Web design and development are skilled trades. If you want to earn the big bucks and grow your client portfolio, you have to move away from the entry level 'click and drag' website builders and firm-up on coding. The people who can confidently tackle anything asked of them stand to succeed the most. Friendly and knowledgable web developers are always in demand; even during times of recession.
There are some common technologies that underpin most websites; namely HTML, CSS and Javascript. Smaller businesses quite often use something called PHP too, which WebYep also uses. Therefore basic knowledge of all four is quite important to have. Thankfully there are a wide choice of free and low-cost learning resources that can take your from 'zero to hero' within just a few weeks:
Those five are my favourites in 2022. Gone are the days when you need to spend a fortune on intensive coding bootcamps or pay to enrol in classes. Take your pick from any of those, and then you'll be well on your way towards becoming an expert. It'll be tough at times, but it is an immensely rewarding journey, anybody of any age or background can follow.
Like any language, it's impossible to know everything 100%. Programming languages change over time. When new things are released, you'll need to do refreshers. And even if you are coding every day, there are still things you'll forget and need to research again. The learning and problem solving never ceases. Which makes every day different and adds to the fun!
Once you're up-to-speed on the basics of hand-coding websites, then installing and using WebYep becomes easy. Or if you prefer to outsource this whole part of the process, you can find my contact details on the contact page.
